Agrarian transformation in Northern Mozambique: a “new” dimension of research in light of the conflict and violence in Cabo Delgado – IDeIAS nº 142E

This new IDeIAS n˚ 142E, the English version of IDeIAS n˚ 142P, by Carlos Muianga, defends the need to introduce a `new` dimension of research in light of the conflict in Cabo Delgado, focusing on the analysis of the political economy of agrarian transformation in northern Mozambique. Such a dimension of research is useful to provide analytical elements that can help questioning/confronting the existing hypothesis which link the causes of conflict and violence to the dynamics of poverty, social marginalization and resource extraction.
